I am the Director of Temple Design, a website and graphic design company based in Perth, Western Australia. Specialising in website design, graphic design, photography, image retouching, and project management. Together with my team of design specialists and technical staff we makeup Temple Design.
From 2007 – 2012 I worked for Proj-X Design in Sydney, NSW. Proj-X is a specialty event/exhibition and Design company.
My main duties included liaising with clients and working through their requirements and brief for each project and supplying quotes and options for each project. Assessment of each project and delegation of work to the 5 in-house designers and breakdown of client briefs to these designers. Budgeting job costs and outsourcing elements of each project when required. Advising clients of options and costs for each part of their project. Delegation of work to production staff and monitoring construction timelines. Delivering the final job to the clients or arranging installation, venue and installation crew.
I toured Australia for one year to all capital cities, spending one month in each location. Sydney and Melbourne both requested a second event after the initial national tour.
My duties included liaising with AusAID (the client) and attending to any of their requirements and requests. Organising all logistics including liaising with freight and forklift companies for each installation and packdown. Organising a crew in each location for installation and pulldown and maintenance of the exhibit and repairing any damage as needed.
Late 2005 I was the Project Manager for the international Photography exhibition called MILK (Moments, Intimacy, Laughter, Kinship). This was my first big exhibition as a manager and we installed this amazing exhibition in key locations in Australia including the for-court of the Sydney opera house and also the main events area in Federation Square in Melbourne. My duties included organising the logistics liaising with client and venues, organising crew and directing the installation and pulldown.
I also played a key role in the Design and production of Artwork etc for this Exhibition.
My duties included Graphic Design, Website Design, Print production, Print finishing including, mounting laminating and direct application.
Working in the Events industry, supplying exceptional, high quality service to some of the biggest companies in Australia and the world.
The Rombus ethos was to give our client what they needed as fast and as efficiently as possible.
We aimed to exceed our clients expectations.
In this role I was taught about everything to do with Event and Exhibition construction and installation including fabrication, Carpentry and Electrical’s. We constructed and installed some of the biggest exhibitions in Australia including stands for Nissan at the Sydney and Melbourne MotorShow and National Microsoft, Intel and HP product launches.
